The DIY Texas Star Shooting Target by Spartan Armor Systems® is a challenging and entertaining way to improve reaction time, accuracy, and shooter coordination. This affordable do-it-yourself kit is perfect for enthusiasts who enjoy hands-on projects and includes your choice of 6” or 8” AR500 steel Knock-Off paddles. Built for durability and performance, the Texas Star delivers dynamic movement that tests even experienced shooters. The target system is shipped unpainted and requires welding for assembly. Detailed instructions are available on our website, along with a list of components you’ll need to source separately. DIY kits are ideal for custom setups, while pre-built kits are ready to use and ship in two separate packages—one containing the targets and optional base, and another with angle iron and pre-welded pivot tubes. For DIY assembly, we recommend using 1.5″ angle iron with 0.25″ thickness and consider adding our patent-pending Multi-Purpose Base (MPB) for simplified setup. Optional upgrades include .22LR paddles, challenge tree paddles, and more. Choose the configuration that fits your shooting style and budget.
