North Carolina Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals

A Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals course typically covers the following topics: Introduction to handguns and how they work, safety rules and handling procedures, marksmanship basics and shooting techniques, selecting the right handgun and equipment, holster selection and carry options, understanding the legal aspects of self-defense, non-lethal self-defense options and techniques, developing a personal defense plan, and shooting range time for live-fire practice and evaluation. The course is usually designed for women who have little to no prior experience with firearms and focuses on providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to use a handgun effectively for self-defense.
