The DIY Heads UP reactive target system is a highly effective training tool designed to enhance tactical shooting skills for law enforcement professionals and firearm enthusiasts. Part of a versatile lineup that includes Head Shot Gut Shot and Hostage Moe, this system is constructed from ballistic-grade AR500 steel for superior durability and long-lasting performance. The DIY version is perfect for hands-on users and includes all essential target components, excluding the 46” angle iron shaft (1.5″ x 0.25″), which must be sourced separately. The target system is shipped unpainted and requires welding for final assembly. Kits are available with or without Spartan Armor Systems’ patent-pending Multi-Purpose Base (MPB) and can be further customized with optional .22LR mild steel paddles or challenge tree paddles. For best results, we recommend using 1.5″ x 0.25″ angle iron and adding the MPB for a quick and stable setup. Pre-built kits are also available and ship in two separate packages—one with the targets and optional base, and another with angle iron and pre-welded pivot tubes. Choose the configuration that fits your training goals and assembly preferences.
