What if my order was not delivered to my FFL dealer and returned to Knight’s Defense?

If your firearm is returned due to an invalid or unresponsive FFL, you will be charged return shipping, a 15% restocking fee, and any applicable transfer costs. Always confirm your dealer’s information before placing your order.

Can I have a firearm shipped directly to my home?

No. Federal law requires that all firearms be shipped to a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer. You must pick up the firearm in person from your chosen FFL after passing a background check

Do I need to contact my local FFL dealer to have my firearm delivered there?

Yes. You should always confirm that your FFL dealer is willing to accept the transfer and have them send a copy of their license to sales@knightsdefense.com.

What are transfer fees, and who do I pay them to?

Transfer fees are set by your local FFL dealer and cover the cost of processing your background check and completing the firearm transfer. Knight’s Defense does not charge or collect these fees.

What paperwork do I need to fill out to receive my firearm?

You will need to complete ATF Form 4473 and undergo a background check at the FFL dealer. Additional paperwork may be required depending on your state laws.

What happens if I fail the background check at my FFL dealer?

If you are denied, the firearm will be returned to Knight’s Defense. You will be responsible for return shipping and a 15% restocking fee.

Can I return a firearm or ammunition?

No. All sales of firearms, ammunition, and serialized parts are final. Returns are not accepted unless there is a manufacturer defect.

What is your return policy for non-firearm items?

We accept returns on eligible non-firearm items within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by a receipt.

How long does it take to ship my order?

Most in-stock items ship within 1–2 business days. Firearm orders may take longer depending on receipt of the FFL license and compliance checks.

Can I change or cancel my order after it's placed?

Once processing has begun, orders cannot be changed or canceled. Please ensure all details are correct before submitting your order.

Do you ship to all states?

We do not ship restricted items to states or jurisdictions where they are prohibited. Check our Shipping Policy or contact us to confirm restrictions.

Can I buy NFA items like suppressors from Knight’s Defense?

Yes, we support NFA item sales in accordance with ATF regulations. You must complete the NFA transfer process, including background checks, fingerprints, and tax stamp approval.

Do I need a background check for ammunition?

Some states require background checks or permits to purchase ammunition. Check your state laws before placing an ammunition order.

What if I don’t see my FFL listed during checkout?

You can manually enter your dealer’s name and address at checkout. Be sure to have them send their FFL to sales@knightsdefense.com promptly.

Can Knight’s Defense help me import a firearm into the U.S.?

Yes. We are licensed to import firearms and can guide you through the legal ATF Form 6 process. Imported firearms must comply with U.S. regulations.

Can I export a firearm or firearm parts from the U.S.?

Only with the proper export licensing. Knight’s Defense offers licensed export services for approved customers and countries.

What documentation is required for exporting firearms or ammunition?

You may need an export license, end-user certificate, import permit from the receiving country, and ATF Form 9. Our team can assist with all documentation.

What is ITAR, and why does it matter?

ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) governs the export of defense-related items, including firearms and parts. We comply strictly with ITAR to ensure legal and secure exports.

Can I use a freight forwarder to export firearms or ammunition?

No. Exporting firearms or ammunition without a proper license is illegal. Attempting to use a freight forwarder may lead to seizure and legal penalties.

Are there items I can’t import or export at all?

Yes. Certain items are restricted by U.S. and international law. These include select NFA items, military-grade components, and items bound for embargoed countries.

How does the firearm transfer process work at Knight’s Defense?

After placing your order, your firearm will be shipped to your selected FFL dealer. Once received, you’ll complete the background check and transfer process in person.

What information do I need to provide for the transfer?

Provide your FFL dealer’s name and contact information at checkout. Ensure the dealer sends us their current FFL license for verification.

What happens if my FFL dealer does not provide their license?

If we do not receive the license within 30 business days, your order will be canceled, and a 25% restocking fee will be applied.

What should I bring when picking up my firearm?

Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID and any permits required by your state. Your FFL will guide you through completing Form 4473 and the background check.
