NORTH CAROLINA COUNTERING THE MASS SHOOTER THREAT COURSE

The Countering the Mass Shooter Threat course is designed to educate individuals about the threat of mass shootings and how to prepare for and respond to such incidents. The course covers topics such as: Understanding the mindset and motivations of mass shooters. Identifying potential warning signs and taking preventative measures to minimize the risk of a mass shooting incident. Understanding the basics of active shooter response and survival, including the “Run, Hide, Fight” method. Strategies for responding to a mass shooter situation, including evacuating the area, locking down a building, and defending oneself. Working with law enforcement and first responders to end a mass shooter incident. Managing the psychological impact of a mass shooting incident and supporting those affected by such an event.

The course will also provide practical tips for creating and implementing an emergency action plan for both individuals and organizations.

The goal of the Countering the Mass Shooter Threat course is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to prepare for and respond to a mass shooting incident. By taking this course, individuals can become more informed and confident in their ability to handle such a situation, increasing their chances of survival.
